The Atlanta summer associate program is designed to give law school students real world experience of what it is like to be a BakerHostetler associate. Our program provides students the opportunity to work on substantive assignments to gain confidence in the legal world.
At BakerHostetler, our well-rounded summer program is designed to provide students with the training, experience and confidence necessary to begin the journey to become great lawyers who will enjoy their colleagues and their work.

Our 10-week summer associate program is carefully designed to maximize the learning opportunity for our students. Each summer associate rotates though 3 practice areas of their choosing for 3 weeks at a time. During each rotation, students can expect to work with partners and associates in that practice group and receive real assignments that will prepare them for their career as a BakerHostetler attorney. During this time, students are also paired with mentors to help guide them and provide insight on the firm, its culture, and its clients.
Summer associates can also expect to participate in firmwide training events where they will learn important skills essential to being a successful attorney. These firmwide training events allow students to connect with summer associates in other BakerHostetler offices across the U.S. Locally, summer associates will also enjoy exciting social events where they will have the opportunity to connect with other attorneys in the Atlanta office.
The Atlanta Office will start accepting applications for 2L Summer Associate positions for the 2026 Summer Program on March 17, 2025. Applications will be reviewed and decisions made on a rolling basis until all summer positions are filled.
