WASHINGTON — April 12, 2024 — BakerHostetler is pleased to announce its representation of Kaiser Foundation Hospitals in its launch of Risant Health and Risant Health’s acquisition of Geisinger Health, one of the nation’s leading providers of value-based care.
Risant Health is a new nonprofit organization created by Kaiser to expand and accelerate the adoption of value-based care in diverse, multi-payer, multi-provider, community-based health system environments. Risant Health will create a new value-based care platform that includes best practices, tools, technology and services to support leading community-based health systems.
On March 31, 2024, Geisinger became the first health system to join Risant Health to expand access to value-based care in more communities across the country, improving the health of millions. In addition to Geisinger, Risant Health will grow its impact by acquiring and connecting likeminded, nonprofit, value-oriented community-based health systems anchored in their respective communities.
