We focus on five core areas of competency: practice-specific capabilities, professional skills, firm culture, client development, and firm operations and business dynamics.

Your work in developing these core competencies will progress as you build experience, initially as a junior associate (first to third year) and later as a midlevel associate (fourth to sixth year) and a senior associate (seventh year and beyond).

At each of these three stages, you will attend academies we have designed to further your development as an attorney and your advancement in the firm. Starting with learning critical legal writing and negotiation skills, you will have opportunities to participate in mock trial and client pitch exercises as well as interactive discussions with firm leaders.
