With BakerHostetler as lead counsel, Surge Private Equity has entered into a new strategic partnership with Elite Clinical Network (ECN) in a deal valued at approximately $200 million. ECN operates a network of phase I-IV clinical research sites throughout California, Arizona, Nevada and Texas, using advanced industry knowledge, practices and technology to move clinical trials efficiently from mandate to completion. It has completed thousands of studies for pharmaceutical companies and contract research organizations since launching in 2003.
Announced Sept. 8, this was the second major deal BakerHostetler helped SurgePE close in as many weeks, closely following our client’s acquisition of Tower Legal Solutions at the end of August. The team that helped facilitate SurgePE’s most recent deal includes:
