State and local incentives are available for investments by companies in new businesses and, in some circumstances, to preserve employment at a locality.

These incentives consist of cash payments or tax credits for increasing or preserving employment, property tax abatements, governmental financing alternatives for investment, and specialized incentives for particular types of investments. BakerHostetler works with clients to identify available incentives, ensure incentive programs meet the needs of the company, negotiate ideal incentives and ensure that the business complies with the application, approval, and ongoing compliance process.
