Troy Gwartney represents clients in all areas of patent law, with a focus on patent preparation and prosecution of technology patents related to electrical and computer engineering, network technologies and software. He has significant experience with the preparation of patents pertaining to all aspects of the fabrication of semiconductor devices. His patent preparation experience extends to technological areas involving networking, databases, electronic devices, haptic technologies, Internet of Things, software programming, aviation and national defense.

In addition to patent prosecution, Troy also has experience with portfolio management (domestic and international), standards licensing pools, patent due diligence and litigation support, including drafting initial responses and discovery papers, developing non-infringement and invalidity positions and drafting claim construction positions.

Troy's background as an engineer for vehicle electronics, a programmer and a systems administrator allows him to apply well-rounded business and technical perspectives to the patent process.
