Sean B. Solis represents clients in their most sensitive and consequential business disputes, specializing in data privacy class action defense. Sean serves as counsel within BakerHostetler’s Digital Assets and Data Management Group. His strategic foresight and deep legal knowledge make him a pivotal member of his team, where he navigates complex legal challenges arising from cutting-edge technological issues ranging from data breaches to ransomware attacks.

In addition to his litigation work, Sean maintains a strong white-collar defense practice where he leads internal investigations and defends corporations and individuals in government enforcement actions involving the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Sean has investigated and defended numerous high-profile matters, both criminal and civil, involving alleged accounting and securities fraud, health care fraud, violations of the Clean Air and Clean Water Acts and violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).

Sean also works with clients to develop, improve and implement company-wide compliance programs and internal controls that both address regulators’ expectations and reduce or prevent legal risks before they occur. Deeply versed in FCPA compliance, Sean recently co-authored the anti-bribery and anti-corruption chapter of The Complete Compliance and Ethics Manual 2024, published by the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics.
