Matt Borcas enjoys diving into many areas of the law, with a particular interest in handling appeals and major motions. Following law school, he clerked for Judge Solomon Oliver, Jr., of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, which gave him substantial insight into civil and criminal litigation from the perspective of the court.
During law school, Matt worked in the Appellate Litigation Clinic at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he delivered two winning arguments in criminal appeals before Ohio’s Eighth District Court of Appeals. Additionally, Matt was part of a team that prevailed in a civil appeal before Ohio’s Eleventh District Court of Appeals, and he was the primary drafter of an amicus brief before the Supreme Court of Ohio. Matt has earned numerous awards for his legal writing and served as Executive Articles Editor for the Case Western Reserve Law Review.
