As Senior Trade & Defense Security Advisor, Kevin Miller assists the International Trade team attorneys with economic sanctions, export controls and trade and defense security compliance matters. His experience and knowledge working in the international trade and defense security compliance field give him the tools to navigate the complex processes and procedures associated with a variety of requirements and industries, including the aerospace, defense and maritime industries, as well the firearms, encryption and medical device sectors.

Notably, Kevin assists our attorneys in developing practical and business friendly compliance solutions to issues arising in connection with sanctions administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the Department of the Treasury (OFAC), defense security requirements imposed by the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) of the Department of Defense and U.S. export controls administered by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) of the Department of State and the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) of the Department of Commerce. Kevin has been appointed by the Assistant Secretary of Political Military Affairs as a member of the Defense Trade Advisory Group (DTAG), which advises the U.S. Department of State on regulation of defense trade.
