<li>Represented a variety of clients in complex litigation and class actions, including the defense of consumer class actions, antitrust cases, mass tort and product liability claims and commercial disputes.</li>
<li>Defended 12 national retailers in three putative class actions (one matter pending in Pennsylvania state court and two in the Western District of Pennsylvania) in claims under Pennsylvania’s Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law arising out of the taxation of cloth face masks during the pandemic. Won dismissal of the two federal court actions.</li>
<li>Represented a large national restaurant chain in a putative class action filed in the Central District of California alleging consumer protection claims based on sustainability representations made in the restaurant’s menu.</li>
<li>Represented the owner and operator of a 544-unit multi-story apartment complex located in Marina del Rey, California in a construction defect litigation involving tens of millions of dollars in damages.</li>
<li>Secured dismissal on behalf of a publicly traded kitchen and bath cabinet manufacturer in a putative class action in the Central District of California in which the plaintiff alleged claims for defective cabinet finish under the CLRA, UCL, Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act and Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. After second motion to dismiss, the court dismissed the case with prejudice.</li>
<li>Defended a pharmaceutical company in a putative class action filed in the Central District of California regarding marketing of an aesthetics product. Successfully narrowed nationwide claims to California and resolved the case on an individual plaintiff basis after aggressive discovery and motion practice.</li>
<li>Represented a marketing firm in a remote bench trial in the Central District of California in lawsuit alleging breach of settlement agreement. Successfully defeated crossclaims for millions of dollars in claimed damages and secured the client more than $100K in back payments.</li>
<li>Advised and represented one of the largest publicly traded electric utility companies on the West Coast in connection with a lithium-ion battery fire and explosion that resulted in the injuries to multiple emergency responders.</li>
<li>Represented a national flooring retailer in class action litigation alleging premature scratching of bamboo flooring prior to the 30-year warranty.</li>
