Joel Roberts serves as BakerHostetler’s Aerospace and Defense Industry team co-leader. He is a civil trial lawyer who focuses his practice on eminent domain, commercial litigation, government contracts and national security.
Joel is a graduate of the United States Military Academy and served as an officer in the U.S. Army. He is a member of the firm’s National Security practice team, a co-leader of the firm’s Middle East Practice Group and a Certified Mediator.
For more than 10 years, Joel has served as chairman of the board of a subsidiary of a multinational consulting firm, under FOCI, focusing on classified defense and public sector projects. He is a Certified Director and obtained the status of Leadership Fellow with the National Association of Corporate Directors.
Joel’s diverse professional experiences provide him with a rich understanding of the challenges facing individuals and businesses, enhancing the advice and representation he is able to provide. He holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has been recognized as a “Legal Elite” by Florida Trend and a Florida “Super Lawyer.”
