As Co-Leader of the Healthcare team, Jim Wiehl works with a wide range of healthcare systems, academic medical centers, hospitals, large physician specialty groups, vertically integrating payers, emerging healthcare tech companies and other major players in the provision of health care across the country and overseas. Jim’s 40 years of legal experience traverses a broad range of healthcare law, including mergers and acquisitions; private equity transactions; joint ventures; corporate structure and board governance issues; accountable care organizations under the Affordable Care Act, including the utilization of AKS and Stark Law waivers; complex outsource arrangements; managed care arrangements; antitrust consulting; Medicare and Medicaid regulatory consulting, corporate compliance matters and handling resulting investigations.
