Jennifer Delarosa Ghassemi’s practice encompasses a broad range of labor and employment matters, including representing employers in state and federal courts against complex wage and hour class actions, representative lawsuits filed under California’s Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA), and single-plaintiff claims for wrongful termination, discrimination, sexual harassment and retaliation. She also represents employers in arbitration and agency proceedings, including before the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE) and California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board (CUIAB). In addition, Jennifer counsels clients on a variety of employment and compliance issues, such as personnel policies, wage and hour audits, employee handbooks and other pre-litigation matters.
Jennifer has a track record of successful dispositive motions at the pleading and summary judgment phases, compelling representative actions to arbitration, and obtaining favorable settlements. From ‘Day One,’ she works closely with clients to gain a deep understanding of their business and to build a strong defense strategy on their behalf.
