Hanna Elmasry is a commercial real estate attorney with extensive experience in home building, land use, zoning and environmental law. She represents publicly traded national home builders in the acquisition, development and entitlement of raw land and platted lots in Florida and Georgia. Her work includes drafting and negotiating complex purchase and sale agreements, reviewing survey and title matters, negotiating easements and restrictive covenants, handling closings and assisting with the platting process post-closing.

Hanna also advises a diverse range of clients—including local developers, major hospitality companies, professional sports teams and nonprofit organizations—on land use and entitlement issues related to the acquisition and redevelopment of real property. She navigates city and county regulatory frameworks, secures approvals and ensures compliance with local, state, and federal land use laws. Her work includes rezoning applications, variances, permitting, due diligence and advocacy before planning commissions, city councils and regulatory agencies. Hanna also serves as a board member on the City of Orlando’s Appearance Review Board.

In addition, Hanna represents clients in environmental regulatory matters, including groundwater and soil contamination cleanups, advising an MLS soccer franchise, a large apartment development company, Florida gas and electric companies and a publicly traded food-distribution company. She prepares application materials, researches environmental regulations, and engages with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) to facilitate compliance.

Her practice also includes leasing work, assisting national restaurant chains and affordable housing developers by reviewing LOIs, preparing lease agreements, ensuring compliance with Florida law, and managing due diligence prior to lease commencement.

Hanna has extensive experience handling real estate sales and purchases, representing buyers and sellers in transactions involving commercial, industrial and residential properties. She drafts and negotiates purchase and sale agreements, conducts title and survey reviews, prepares closing documents and coordinates due diligence to ensure smooth transactions. She works closely with clients to identify potential risks, address financing and regulatory considerations and facilitate successful closings.
