Darin Gibbons focuses his practice on litigation and political law, including redistricting, campaign finance and advising candidates, trade associations and political action committees.

Darin worked on political campaigns for more than 15 years at the national, state and local level. Prior to joining BakerHostetler, he was general counsel for Senator Tim Scott's presidential campaign, managing Federal Election Commission compliance and ballot access and providing day-to-day legal input. He also had two stints at the Republican National Committee (as director of investigations and counsel) and spent two years as legislative counsel for the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, where he prepared nominees and witnesses for Congressional hearings and oversaw a portfolio including appropriations, federal workforce policy and information technology. In addition, Darin gained valuable experience early in his career working with party committees and campaign vendors, as well as candidates and elected officials in Massachusetts.
