Betsy Cohen focuses her practice on healthcare law, representing hospitals, hospital systems, medical facilities and providers and advising them on licensure and regulatory compliance issues. She has broad legal experience providing clients guidance on state and federal law, state rules and regulations and litigation matters.

Prior to joining BakerHostetler, Betsy was an Assistant Attorney General with the Georgia Department of Law, serving in the Regulated Industries and Professions Division. There, she routinely provided legal advice to state professional licensing boards on matters involving compliance, licensure applications, investigations, impairment, rulemaking and the extensive regulatory issues that routinely came before the boards, including the Georgia Composite Medical Board, the Georgia Board of Nursing, the State Board of Examiners of Psychologists and many others. Betsy also represented state boards in disciplinary cases before the Office of State Administrative Hearings and in superior court judicial review hearings. Prior to her service with the Georgia Office of the Attorney General, Betsy was the staff attorney for the Georgia Composite Medical Board.
