Alexandra Karambelas draws on her prior experience as a paralegal while assisting her colleagues with general litigation matters and building her own practice. She enjoys exploring complex problems and developing creative solutions to meet clients’ objectives.

Alexandra is a litigator and a member of BakerHostetler’s White Collar, Investigation and Securities Enforcement and Litigation team and the Securities and Governance Litigation team. She focuses her practice on government and internal investigations, white collar defense matters and private securities litigation. Alexandra has handled civil and criminal inquiries by government entities, including the U.S. Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, U.S. Attorneys’ Offices and the Office of the New York Attorney General. Alexandra also assists clients with securities and governance litigation, including securities class actions and shareholder derivative actions, in federal and New York State court.

Additionally, Alexandra has assisted members of the BakerHostetler team representing Trustee Irving H. Picard for the SIPA liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Securities LLC.

Alexandra is an active member of the BakerHostetler community, serving on the Associates Committee for the New York office.
