Partner Winston Kirton commented on the racial disparity in clinical trials in an article for The American Journal of Managed Care titled “As Myeloma Trials Tackle Frontline Treatment, Where are the Black Patients?” Published Nov. 20, 2024, the article addresses the recent strides in treating multiple myeloma while pointing out the underrepresentation of Black participants in the clinical trials of a new drug – even though Black patients will be diagnosed with multiple myeloma two to three times more frequently than white patients.
