By the end of 2025, more than half of the U.S. population will have personal data rights under comprehensive state privacy laws, with more states likely to pass legislation this year. While U.S. state comprehensive privacy laws have generally followed familiar contours, emerging nuances and areas of divergence complicate nationwide compliance for many companies. On top of that, we anticipate new or amended laws and enforcement actions related to children’s data, AI, biometrics, geolocation, health data and browser data, among other areas of risk.

During this webinar, we will discuss:

  • Our predictions for the new year and new administration
  • What’s different in 2025’s eight new state privacy laws
  • How more specific privacy laws, such as those focused on data brokers and children’s data, intersect with and supplement broader comprehensive privacy laws
  • Enforcement and litigation trends to watch
  • Leveraging your existing privacy program effectively to meet new challenges in 2025
