Partner Joshua Bennett provided an article to The Texas Lawbook titled “Texas’ Business Courts are Proving Their Supporters Right.” The article discusses the ways in which the state’s new system of business courts has assuaged initial fears that they would only favor businesses and not the litigants, including rejecting opportunities to assert or expand business-court jurisdiction, keeping to the plain language of jurisdiction that the legislature provided and applying the law as written versus as the court or a business would want it.
