Courts Move Closer to an Answer.” Published Jan. 26, 2024, the piece discusses the dispute between federal regulators and the crypto industry over how cryptocurrencies should be classified and regulated. A former litigation counsel with the S.E.C., Goody Guillén states that the S.E.C. is attempting a one-size-fits-all approach and that “there has to be a regulatory regime in place for these novel assets beyond just saying they are all securities.”
