Counsel Sherman Helenese took part in a panel for the University of Washington School of Law’s Washington Leadership Institute, March 28, 2025. Titled “Emerging Through Bias: Sexual Orientation and Gender and the Legal Profession,” the discussion focused on emerging through bias as it relates to sexual orientation and gender and the legal profession from the perspective of persons in leadership. There was also a discussion about its implications in the legal workplace.

A collaborative endeavor between the Washington State Bar Association and the University of Washington School of Law, the Washington Leadership Institute is a leadership development program created in 2004 by the WSBA Board of Governors to recruit, train and develop traditionally underrepresented attorneys for future leadership positions in the WSBA and legal community.
