Partner Poe Leggette is quoted in a Wall Street Journal article published July 1, 2015. The article, headlined, “Energy Companies Can Be Sued Over Earthquakes, Oklahoma Supreme Court Says,” reports on a recent ruling that a woman injured in an earthquake can sue two energy companies she accuses of causing the quake by injecting wastewater into nearby wells.

Leggette, who is not involved in the case, told The Wall Street Journal, “It’s a significant development. Any time you have an issue like this that is going to become subject to a potential jury trial, it clearly increases risk to the companies.”
