Partner Brian McEvoy will take part in a panel discussion at the Advanced Forum on Telehealth – a program of the American Conference Institute and Canadian Institute – on Nov. 16 in New York City. The panel is titled "Telehealth Fraud and Abuse: Steering Clear of The Next Frontier in F&A, False Claims Act and Qui Tam Enforcement.”
McEvoy and his co-panelists will examine enforcement trends and the heightened scrutiny of telemedicine fraud by the Departments of Justice and Health and Human Services; takeaways from recent criminal charges and False Claims Act civil settlements related to the abuse of special telehealth billing rules; and developments involving the Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute and how they affect telehealth providers, among other topics.
