Partner James Sherer is quoted in Law.com’s Barometer newsletter for Oct 19. Titled “Legal Enters Full Education Mode as Generative AI Strengthens Its Hold on the Industry,” the report examines how artificial intelligence is leading lawyers to seek educational resources and collaborate with technology providers to broaden their knowledge of large language models.
According to the Barometer, “legal professionals are viewing vendor-provided education as not only an opportunity to deepen their understanding of generative AI, but also as a chance to peek behind the curtain and see different providers’ approaches to large language models (LLMs).”
Sherer tells Law.com that as people develop a greater familiarity with the concepts and “vocabulary” of AI, “the easier it becomes to distinguish fact from fiction, marketing buzz from real-world application.”
