A Pennsylvania federal judge sided with BakerHostetler attorneys and client ZeroWater on Jan. 30, 2024, ruling that antitrust claims against Clorox Co. and its Brita brand can move forward. U.S. District Judge Kelley B. Hodge issued a 50-page decision that denied a motion to dismiss, rejecting Brita LP’s argument that ZeroWater had already asserted its grievances in existing patent infringement cases in Delaware, and that the lawsuits overlap. ZeroWater is a client of Partner John Letchinger; the team included Partners Carl Hittinger, Julian Perlman and Alyse Stach, as well as Associate Jeffrey Liskov.
“We are very pleased with the court’s comprehensive and well-reasoned decision,” said Hittinger, in a story on the success published by Law360. The win was also reported by Bloomberg Law (subscription required).
