The wide-ranging article introduced readers to highlights of Chairez’s life and career, detailing how he overcame early challenges, rose to become a respected mainstay in Orange County’s legal community, and committed to promoting a bench and bar that reflects the diversity of Orange County.
In June, the latter earned Chairez the OCBA’s Lei Lei Wang Ekvall Award. Established in 2022, the recognition celebrates a member of the region’s legal community who has led by example in supporting awareness and enhancement of diversity, equity and inclusion while exemplifying professional excellence.
