Partner John Carney served as co-chair for the two-day seminar titled “Basics of Accounting for Lawyers 2024,” May 15-16, 2024, in New York, New York. Carney also spoke on the panel “Update on Accounting-Related Regulatory and Enforcement Trends.” Partner Jonathan Barr spoke on a panel titled “Notes to the Financial Statement,” a discussion on how to use financial statement notes to better understand the statements themselves and in the defense of litigation and investigations. The seminar is designed to instruct lawyers at all levels on accounting rules, concepts and principles that are critical to understand in representing clients as an in-house counsel or law firm practitioner.
