Washington, D.C. — June 14, 2023

BakerHostetler is proud to announce that five firm attorneys were recognized in this year’s edition of BTI Client Service All-Stars. Compiled by BTI Consulting Group, Inc., this report highlights the attorneys that continue to step up client service to world-class levels. These attorneys earn the respect and recommendation from top legal decision makers around the globe.

This year, Partners Ray Whitman, Shareef Farag, Matthew C. Kane and Marco Molina and Associate Mario T. Milano were recognized by clients as being reliable, providing customized advice, and possessing strong understandings of the business.

The report is based on more than 350 interviews with top legal decision makers at large organizations and does not accept law firm submissions or self-referrals. This is the ninth consecutive year that BakerHostetler attorneys have been highlighted in the report.

“Baker Hostetler is among one of only 11 law firms to serve as home to 5 or more BTI Client Service All-Stars for 2023,” says Michael B. Rynowecer, President of The BTI Consulting Group, which directs the study. “The firm fosters a client service culture to receive this kind of client recognition.”

Ray Whitman

Serving as chair of BakerHostetler’s national Litigation Group, Whitman is an accomplished trial lawyer and has successfully represented the world’s largest organizations in a wide array of litigation and business-related issues. Clients say he is “responsive, practical and articulate” and “has that ability to comprehend the big picture as well as a lot of the micro facts characteristics of the case.” Whitman is a Fellow with the Texas Bar Foundation and the Litigation Counsel of America.

Shareef Farag

Co-leader of BakerHostetler’s Wage and Hour Compliance team, Farag frequently leads wage and hour compliance audits and defends class and representative actions across a wide array of industries. Clients remark that he is “very good at resolving difficult matters skillfully.” This is his first year on the prestigious list.

Matthew C. Kane

As co-leader of BakerHostetler’s Employment/Wage & Hour Class Actions practice team, Kane has nearly three decades experience as a lawyer in private practice and in-house counsel for a Fortune 50 company. The clients that nominated him say he is “very responsive to our requests” and “values our relationship and thinks outside the box.” This is Kane’s second year on the list.

Marco Molina

Molina focuses his practice on investor-State arbitration, international commercial arbitration, asset tracing and recovery, cross-border disputes, cryptocurrency-related litigation, and securities litigation defense. Marco practices in both English and Spanish, brings a comprehensive worldview to his practice, and possesses the knowledge needed to be able to navigate his clients towards their desired result. Clients note that Molina “is always one step ahead of the competition.”

Mario T. Milano

Milano is an associate at BakerHostetler where he practices in electrical, mechanical, and computer science prosecution, drafting and prosecuting utility and design patent applications with a specific niche in medical devices and electrical connection manufacturers. He believes in delivering top-notch client service and seeks to understand the ins and outs of his clients’ particular business goals. Specifically, clients say that Milano brings value “through his targeted and customized advice.”
