Although the word “privacy” doesn’t appear in the FTC Act, the agency has for the past 25 years been tasked with acting as the country’s privacy enforcer.
In a Nov. 20 episode of the American Bar Association’s Trust and Trade podcast, Partner Daniel Kaufman and other current and former Federal Trade Commission leaders discuss how the FTC’s privacy enforcement efforts have evolved – and where they may be headed. The episode is titled “A Brief History of Privacy Enforcement by the FTC.”
Trust and Trade is a flagship podcast of the ABA’s Antitrust Law Section and features in-depth conversations with experts in the fields of antitrust, consumer protection and privacy.
