Partner Brian Davis will be a panelist for a session on “U.S. Tax Treaties: Changes in the Landscape at Last” on December 14, 2023, at the GW/IRS Annual Institute on Current Issues in International Taxation. The event takes place December 14-15 at the JW Marriott Hotel in Washington, D.C.
This session will address recent developments involving U.S. tax treaties, including the new U.S. and Chile Treaty and U.S. and Croatia Treaty; the continued evolution of the 2016 U.S. Model Treaty; novel tax agreement approaches to Taiwan; Pillar 2’s UTPR and its interaction with tax treaties; recent unilateral actions by treaty partners; and an update on current tax treaty negotiations.
