A team of BakerHostetler attorneys led by Partner Steven Goldberg and Associate Cary Jones represented client Acuity Knowledge Partners (Acuity) on a major cross-border acquisition valued at $60 million. Backed by Equistone Partners Europe, Acuity is a leading provider of high-value research, analytics and business intelligence to the financial services sector; it was formerly separated from Moody's Corporation.
With the acquisition of Cians Analytics (Cians), an India-based provider of high-quality, cost-effective research and analytical support for financial institutions, Acuity will offer enhanced support in knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) and streamline operations for financial firms all over the world.
In addition to Goldberg and Jones, the BakerHostetler team included Partners John Lehrer, Jerry Ferguson, Deborah Wilcox, Brian Murray and Brian Harris; Counsels Meagan Moore and Jacqueline Best; and Associates Carolina Alonso, Michael Parente, Derek Freitas, Caitlin Duckworth and Tali Knauer. The deal was announced Sept. 12, 2022.
