An Aug. 25 Bloomberg Law article titled “Big Law’s AI Challenge Drives New Conversation About Training" (subscription required) quotes Chief Information Officer Katherine Lowry about BakerHostetler’s evolving policy on generative artificial intelligence (AI).

She told the publication that a firmwide directive issued earlier this year cautioned staff not to use large language models with client data because public ChatGPT and similar tools are not private and may be breached. Firm leaders are “deep in discussions” over a more expansive policy on chatbots, she added.
