BakerHostetler hosted an elegant event for more than 400 attendees on May 21, 2024, at the renowned Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change (The King Center) to celebrate the 2024 International Trademark Association’s annual meeting in Atlanta. Established in 1968 by Mrs. Coretta Scott King to honor her husband and continue his mission, The King Center has become a global destination, resource center and community institution. Attendees were able to peruse all exhibits and the auditorium during the event, including Freedom Hall and its thought-provoking art exhibits.

The firm has a long-standing relationship with The King Center, as attorneys from the Atlanta office have handled matters on both a pro bono and billable basis for many years. Partner Eric Barnum also serves as an outside general counsel for the nonprofit organization. During the reception, guests were encouraged to donate to the Center via QR codes that were posted in strategic locations throughout the facility.

BakerHostetler attendees to the event included Partners Robb Beckerlegge, Kevin Bovard, Lisa Collins, Cory Davis, Christina Moser, Mark Tidman, and Miranda Wang; Of Counsel Heather McDonald; Counsel John Mueller; Associate Lisa Bollinger Gehman; Trademark Attorneys Megan Mischler and Gabrial Mitchell; Summer Associates Devan Hammack, Marcela Hawkins and Kierra Ross; IP Operations Director Matthew Collins, Senior IP Manager Anthony Howard-Agu, Senior Business Development and Marketing Manager Elysia Salgado, Marketing Specialist Maya Burke-Mount,  Firm Events Manager Emily Spiller and Firm Events Specialist Katie Martineau.
