Partners Paul Levine and Carlos Ramos-Mrosovsky served as counsel to a group of U.S. investors in an International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) case about a stalled project to develop a luxury hotel resort in Grenada.
According to an Aug. 31 Global Arbitration Review article ("Grenada settles ICSID case over hotel resort"), Grenada and the claimants reached a deal in the $200 million case that will allow Grenada to take over the development project, while “owners and investors in the property will be entitled to seek compensation from the government under Grenadian law for the compulsory acquisition.”
