Partner Ronald Gaither and Associates Mitchell Robinson and Jarvarus Gresham secured a victory for clients AMB Sports & Entertainment (“AMBSE”) and Atlanta Falcons Stadium Company, LLC (‘StadCo”) when the Georgia Court of Appeals upheld a trial court’s ruling that Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium’s operator was not liable for injuries a woman sustained in a brawl during a 2017 college football game. AMB Sports & Entertainment, is the parent company of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United, and PGA TOUR Superstore.

On March 6, 2024, a three-judge appellate panel agreed with the ruling handed down by Gwinnett County State Court in December 2022, which released AMBSE, StadCo and security company SAFE Management of Georgia from the woman’s lawsuit alleging that they negligently failed to protect her from fights known to erupt during football games and were therefore vicariously liable for the injuries she sustained.
