Partner Asim Grabowski-Shaikh presented the first of two CLE sessions for the Practising Law Institute on August 1, 2024. Titled “Corporate Finance Basics for In-House Counsel,” the first session provided a basic understanding of different securities commonly used by private companies in the early to mid-stages of fundraising, as well as commonly negotiated provisions in series round financings. The second session, “Advanced Corporate Finance for In-House Counsel,” which will be taught August 26, 2024, helps in-house counsel identify and understand issues arising in connection with a company’s exit strategies (e.g., IPO or sale), pre-IPO investments and the types of offerings available to public companies.
