Partner James Sherer and Chief Information Officer Katherine Lowry were quoted in a Sept. 14 LegalTech News article about the expanding body of educational and training materials that legal technology providers are delivering to attorneys and law firms, particularly since the development and rapid adoption of generative AI.

Having access to such materials can help attorneys become better connoisseurs of legal tech, Sherer said. After all, “the more you see, the more you engage, I think the easier it becomes to distinguish fact from fiction, marketing buzz from real world application.”

Lowry told LegalTech News that BakerHostetler is already working with vendors, developing alongside them a greater understanding of all that these technologies can do. Still, she said, “I do think it’s our responsibility as a firm to make sure our lawyers are trained on technology.”
