Partner Alexander Reid will present the topic “View of the Nonprofit Sector” at The University of Texas School of Law’s 42nd Annual Nonprofit Organizations Institute, which runs January 22-24, 2025, in Austin, Texas. Topics will include the possible extension of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act; the rewriting of the ways donors, investment advisors and sponsoring organizations can work together on donor-advised funds; and how much unrelated activity a social welfare organization can undertake before losing its tax-exempt status.
