Partner Alex Reid is quoted in a Bloomberg Law article published Feb. 15, 2024, and titled, “Court: FTC Privacy Suit Against Data Broker Can Move Ahead,” that looks at an IRS proposal to broaden who is considered a donor-adviser and how that could stifle charitable giving.
In response to the concern that that the new rules would require investment advisers to be classified as donor advisors, Reid notes it’s become common practice for donors to use their personal investment advisers to grow their DAF money before it goes to charity.
