Partner James Sherer spoke on Oct. 12 at the ABA Asia/Pacific Conference in Seoul, South Korea. The conference theme was “Law and Technology in a Changing World.”
Sherer’s panel was titled “Not Too Fast, AI! Exploring Legal Ethics and Regulations in the Era of AI-Powered ChatGPT.” He and his co-panelists explored the multifaceted implications of AI-driven language models on the practice of law, addressing concerns such as bias, privacy, transparency and accountability. They also discussed how legal professionals can navigate these issues while continuing to meet their ethical obligations.
